I am final year student of The Shri Ram School, Moulsari. My interests lie in the fields of political economy, identity-politics, geopolitics; and diplomacy, gender studies, and discourse analysis. I am also deeply interested in literature, and have been part of the school’s Editorial Board, including holding the position of Chief Editor in both junior and senior school.
I feel it is too early for me to define my passion, but if I had to identify what drives me intellectually, I would describe it in a single phrase – De Omnibus Dubitandum (everything must be doubted). The act of questioning excites and fulfils me – not only questioning the received wisdom and norms that have been passed on to me, but also things that I instinctively believe to be true.
I have been interested in gender as a concept, even when I was in junior school. Since then, I have acquainted myself with past and current debates on gender, both in the political and public spheres, and within academia. I am also involved in gender-related advocacy, as the President of Girl Up TSRS and an editor at Girl Up Unity. I intend to take this forward as I get more opportunities.
